Charice: wer ist Charice?

 

Was hat mich beschäftigt in letzter Zeit?  Letzten Wochen, Monaten, im letzten Jahr?  Hauptsächlich nur eins:  meine Faszination zu Charice Pempengco!Wer ist Charice?  Charice ist eine Sängerin.  Bekannt wurde sie durch YouTube videos. 

Rückblick.  November 2007.  Ein ehemaliger Arbeitskollege von mir hat mir ein email geschickt.   Darin enthalten, ein video von Charice´s Auftritt bei Star King Show in Südkorea.  Ich dachte mir, was soll´s, schaue ich mal rein.  WOW!  Ich habe es nie bereut.  Ich war so überrascht, ich konnte es gar nicht richtig fassen.  Es war unbeschreiblich schön.  Dieses kleine Mädchen, so voller selbstbewusstsein!  Diese gewaltige Stimme, wo kommt die nur her?  Sie is ja so klein.   Das Lied? „And I am Telling You“ von Jennifer Hudson.

Ich habe dann angefangen zu reserchieren.  Google, YouTube, myVideo.de, etc.  Sie hat noch mehr videos.  Dann folgte ein Auftritt bei Ellen´s  Show kurz vor Weihnachten: Standing Ovation!  London Paul O´Grady Show in April 2008: Standing Ovation!  Oprah Winfrey Show in Mai 2008: Standing Ovation!  Sie hat ein Lied von Whitney Houston gesungen „I Have Nothing“.  Das hat mich umgehauen!  Kalte Schauer liefen hinter meinen Rücken.  Ich war selbst nervös gewesen.  Wie könnte es sein?  Wie kann sie die höhen Töne nur treffen?  Voller Emotionen! Voller Leidenschaft!  Sie hat alles gegeben.

Danach folgte:  David Foster and Friends in Vegas.  Wer ihn nicht kennt, hat null Ahnung von Musik.  Charice hat Whitney Houston´s Lieder als Medley gesungen: „I Have Nothing und I Will Always Love You!“   Sein Arrangement war super Klasse!  Und das Mädel hat es vollbracht!  Was denn sonst? Standing  Ovation!

Genau in dieser Show hat Andrea Bocelli (wer kennt ihn nicht?) Charice gehört.  Gratuliert und (halt Euch fest!) zum Duet eingeladen worden!   In der Toskana!  In seiner Heimat!  In Theatro del Silenzio, Lajatico, Toskana.  Malerischer Ort, magischer Ort!  Was passierte?  Standing Ovation!

September 2008, Feyenoord Fussball Stadion, Rotterdam, Niederlande.  Sie hat die Fussballfans zum Screien gebracht!  Voll abgefahren!  Danach Ihre Geschichte beim Oprah und als Überraschung:  Celine Dion hat Charice zum Duet eingeladen.  Wo?  Oh nur in Madison Square Garden!  Wie bitte was?  Über 18,000 tobenden fans!  Ich habe ja nur in YouTube gesehen, trotzdem hatte ich Tränen in den Augen!

Der Rest von ihren Auftritten kann man via YouTube noch anschauen.  Letzter großer Auftritt?  Sie hat in Los Angeles beim Dodgers Baseball Spiel „Star Spangled Banner“ gesungen. 

Oh ich habe vergessen zu Erwähnen, Charice ist Filipina, sie kommt von den Philippinen.  Und sie ist sehr sehr stolz auf ihre Heimat und Herkunft!  Was für ein junges Mädchen. 

Charice wird 17 Jahre Alt am 10.Mai 2009.  Zum Feiern darf sie nochmal singen, David Foster and Friends in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas 9.Mai 2009.

What kept me busy lately? These last weeks, months, in the last year? Mostly only one thing: my fascination to Charice Pempengco!

Who is Charice? Charice is a singer. She became famous through YouTube videos.

Review. November 2007. A former colleague of mine has sent me an email. It included a video of Charice’s performance on Star King show in South Korea. I thought to myself, what the heck, I´ve watched it. WOW! I have never regretted it. I was so surprised!  I couldn´t even realize what that was. It was indescribably beautiful. This little girl, so full of self-confidence! This tremendous voice, which comes only from this tiny body? The song? „And I Am Telling You“ by Jennifer Hudson.

I  started to do a research about her. Google, YouTube, myVideo.de, etc. She even has more videos. Then followed by an appearance on Ellen’s show just before Christmas: Standing Ovation! London Paul O’Grady Show in April 2008: Standing Ovation! Oprah Winfrey Show in May 2008: Standing Ovation! Shesung a song by Whitney Houston „I Have Nothing“. It blew me me away literally! Cold showers ran behind the spines of my back. I was nervous for her! How could it be? How could she reach the high notes? Full of emotions! Full of passion! It has everything.

This was followed by: David Foster and Friends in Vegas. Anybody who don´t know him, has no idea about music. Charice sung Whitney Houston’s songs,  a medley: „I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You!“ His arrangement was super classy! And the girl delivered  it! What else? Standing Ovation!

It is in this show, that Andrea Bocelli (who doesn´t know him?) congratulated Charice and (hold your breath!) invited her  todo a duet, in Tuscany, iIn his hometown! In Teatro del Silenzio, Lajatico, Tuscany. Picturesque location, magical place! What happened? Standing Ovation!

September 2008, Feyenoord stadium, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She had the  football fans go up to their feet shouting and singing! Then in Oprah´s show, as a surprise,  Celine Dion has invited Charice to sing a duet w/ her. Where? Oh just in Madison Square Garden!  More than 18.000 raging fans! I have only seen via YouTube, but I had tears in their eyes!

The rest of her performances, you can still watch via YouTube. The last big performance? She sung in the opening game,  Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game the „Star Spangled Banner“.

Oh, I forgot to mention, Charice is a  Filipina girl. And she is very proud of her  homeland and origin! What a young girl.

Charice will turn  17 years  on May 10, 2009, to celebrate her b-day, she´ll sing again, David Foster and Friends in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas May 9, 2009.
